What does a bird actually need to survive? Join the CI Bird Sanctuary for the first session of Wings 2 Roots, where young naturalists ages 5–12 will discover the essentials of a healthy bird habitat. We'll meet some of Long Island's most beloved feathered residents in the classroom, then head outside to explore the bird sanctuary feeders and hunt for habitat clues. Every participant will start their own field journal to carry through the whole series, because great scientists write things down!
